Target Beauty Box Review: Original Unboxing

Editor’s Note: Target is no longer selling their Beauty Box. Instead, they’re offering their Beauty Capsule Box, which is basically a larger version of their Beauty Box. You get more products, more variety, and more boxes to choose from on their website. It’s around $15 a box!

If you’re looking for an affordable beauty subscription box that’ll cost you less than $10 a month, you’ve come to the right place. At the beginning of every month, Target releases a beauty box filled with samples of items that you can purchase at Target. The number of samples differs in every box, but I’ve always gotten a box filled with different products.

WARNING: The Target beauty box sells out really quickly, so make sure that you’re checking in with Target every day or two for the first week (sometimes a week and a half) of every month. The cost of the August Target Beauty box was $7, which is probably part of the reason they sell out so quickly (the other reason being is that the Target boxes are always jam-packed with goodies).

What was in the August Target beauty box?

  • Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Soft Waves Tropical Banana Sea Salt Spray (2 ounces)
  • Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Fae Wipes (7 counts)
  • Bliss Fab Foaming Face Wash (1 fluid ounce)
  • Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Body Lotion (2 fluid ounces)
  • Acure Brilliantly Brightening Day Cream (1 ounce)
  • Schick Intuition F.A.B. Razor

As a side note, every Target Beauty Box has a card inside of it that names that products that are inside of the box, as well as tips on how to properly use the products. On every card that you receive, there a Target coupon that you can use for $3 off any beauty purchase of $15 or more.

Schick Intuition F.A.B. Razor

(Value $5.99)

I have to say, I feel like I break every single shaving rule there is out there. I can show you numerous scars that I have on my legs from the countless shaving mishaps that I’ve had! My problem usually is caused because I move my razor forward and backward in an attempt to quickly shave my legs, which will typically leave me with a small wound or two.

Trying out the Schick Intuition F.A.B. razor changed that problem for me! First of all, this is a razor that is new to the market, so I personally feel like it’s really cool that Target added a new release into their August beauty box.

This razor did leave my legs feeling like I got a close shave and I found that it was much easier (and safer) to use! I ended up getting out of the shower and didn’t need to put any band-aids on my legs. Mission accomplished!

Acure Brilliantly Brightening Day Cream

(Sample Value $9.99)

If you happened to take a glance at the sample value, you may have noticed that it’s $10 for a 1-ounce sample. Here’s the kicker- the full-size product is 1.7 ounces and is priced at $16.00. What is super amazing is that you’re literally getting more than half of the full-sized product in this simple size!

I have greasy skin, so I really enjoyed that this didn’t make my face feel (or look) greasy after the application. I can’t really breathe too well around skincare products that are heavily scented, but this has a light citrus scent that wasn’t overpowering.

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Soft Waves Sea Salt Spray

(Sample Value $2.52)

The very first time that I ever tried the Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe spray, I mainly used it on dry hair. This is my second time trying the spray and this bottle smells like a coconut/tropical scent and when I use it on damp hair, it literally makes my hair look so spectacular!

Don’t be like me, use this sea salt spray on damp hair. It added texture to my hair and gave me gentle waves, which is literally all I ever want from my hair. I also enjoyed this formula because I didn’t find that it made my hair dry (I have very thick, dry hair).

Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Body Lotion

Sample Value ($2.25)

I really loved how Target made all of the scents in this box correlate with summer. It really made me feel like they put a lot of thought into the box since everything had a summery scent.

I LOVE the scent of this coconut lotion. I focus putting body lotion on my dry spots on my skin, which is always my ankles and my elbows. This absorbed so quickly, didn’t feel like it was sitting right on top of my skin, and also didn’t make my skin feel greasy! It’s a win for me.

Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes

Sample Value ($1.26)

Makeup wipes are always a win in my book because I love throwing them in my purse to have around in case of any makeup emergencies. If you are someone who doesn’t have the budget to constantly try out new skin care items, I think getting your hands on something like the Target box can really help to build your beauty/self-care stash to have around!

Bliss Fab Foaming Face Wash

(Sample value: $1.55)

As I mentioned earlier, I have REALLY greasy skin. One struggle that I run into with face washes and makeup removers is that they always leave my skin feeling even greasier or cause me to breakout. I found that this face wash was great for removing foundation, primer, my brows, and my eye makeup. I didn’t feel like it did too much to help remove my waterproof mascara and the lash glue that I had gotten on my lashes, but that’s what I used the Simple Cleansing Wipes for!

After taking off my makeup with this foaming cleanser, my face felt clean and I really enjoyed the tiny bits of exfoliator that were in the scrub. I found that this really helped to get my makeup out of my deep pores and around my nose ring!

The total value of this box is $23.56! That’s really crazy to think about, especially since I only paid $7 for the box! That means that I got $16.56 of extra value in my box once I took away the cost of the box from the total value of the August Target Beauty box. What are you hoping to see in the September Target Beauty box?

Target Beauty Box: September Unboxing

The Target Beauty Box is one of the most popular beauty subscription boxes and for good reason- the box usually costs $7 a month and is filled with products that you can buy inside of Target. Beauty Boxes from Target are also typically filled with a large variety of products that are larger sample sizes.

The only thing about the Target Beauty box is that a lot of people complain that it isn’t an actual subscription box, like the Walmart Beauty Box is for example.

The way the Target Beauty Box works is that once a month (usually the first week of every month), Target will upload their beauty box to their website and you have to purchase a box every month. With other subscription boxes such as Ipsy, Birchbox, and even the Walmart Beauty Box, you just give the company your card information once and they send you out a box until you eventually cancel your subscription.

There are two different perspectives that come with Target not doing a monthly subscription and having customers manually purchase a box every month.

Target Beauty Box: You Choose When to Buy

When you go to purchase a box every month from Target, Target has a flat layer of the contents inside that month’s box. If you’re on a strict budget and aren’t interested in signing up for a monthly subscription that you’re

A.) going to waste your money on if you don’t like all of the products in the box and/or

B.) don’t know what your budget is going to look like on a month-to-month basis, being able to choose which months you get Target boxes is a great thing.

You will be able to see what is inside of the box you’re getting and choose to either not purchase that month’s box or to go with your purchase, rather than e-mailing a company and asking them to cancel or skip your subscription. Dealing with customer service can sometimes be overwhelming, but since Target isn’t a subscription service, you won’t have to worry about dealing with their customer service if you want to skip a box or cancel their subscription.

Target Beauty Box: Purchase the one you want

On the other hand, having to go and individually purchase each box can be a bit annoying if you’re someone with a really busy schedule. You either have to closely monitor Target’s Twitter account or religiously check up on the beauty box section on the Target website to see when they upload it. Either way, you’re going to have to take time out of your schedule to keep on checking in on the Target Beauty box if you want to get it. It’s really inconvenient and kind of a hassle if you’re looking to get a Target Beauty Box.

Target not really having a monthly subscription service really depends on what your personal preferences are, but just be prepared that you have to go and physically buy each box.

What Target Advertised vs What I Actually Got

I really feel like Target ripped me off this month, with all of the masks that they sent inside of my box. When I went to go purchase my September Target Beauty Box, here is what I was supposed to get…

target fall beauty box

What I actually got in my September Target Beauty Box is a completely different story…

What it is: September Target Beauty Box

Box cost: $7

The total value of the September Target Beauty Box: $15.37

What I got in my September Target Beauty box:

  • Lumene LAHDE Hydration Recovery Aerating Gel Mask- $0.41
  • TRESemme Keratin Smooth Deep Smoothing Mask Sachet – $1.99
  • Acure Brilliantly Brightening Biocellulose Gel Mask- $5.99
  • Miss Spa Energize Facial Sheet Mask- $3.99
  • Masque Bar Rose Gold Peel Off Mask- $2.99

In my September Target Beauty Box, I literally got a box filled with masks. I got four different types of face masks and one hair mask. I really am not a mask user, I just really don’t like using masks as a part of my skin care routine. I do use hair masks, but that’s only become more of a recent thing for me as the weather has gotten drier.

Personally, I feel like masks don’t really do a whole lot for my skin. I feel like it’s more of a waste of product and a waste of money to use them on my skin, so I was really disappointed to see that my September Target Beauty Box was filled with nothing but masks.

Side note, before we get started talking about what I have inside of my September Beauty Box.

Every single Target Beauty Box comes with a card inside of the box that contains the names of all of the products inside of the box, as well as tips on how to properly use the products. In addition, each card contains a $3 off coupon to use on beauty purchases over $15 inside of Target.

First sample: Acure Brilliantly Brightening Biocellulose Gel Mask

Sample value: $5.99

The first sample that I pulled out of my September Target Beauty Box is the Acure Brilliantly Brightening Biocellulose Gel Mask. This gel mask is recommended to be used on normal skin for its brightening, acne fighting properties.

This mask contains Vitamin B3, Noni Fruit, and kale, and doesn’t contain any parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, sulfates, petrolatum, silicone, and is cruelty-free (yay)! I also thought it was really interesting that the bio-cellulose gel mask fiber is comprised of fermented coconut!

Opening the package for this mask, I was greeted with a floral scent. I didn’t really notice any huge difference in the appearance of my skin after using this face mask, but I did find that my skin felt a lot more hydrated and supple!

Second sample: Lumene LAHDE Hydration Recovery Aerating Gel Mask

Sample value: $0.41

The full-sized product of the Lumene LAHDE Hydration Recovery Aerating Gel Mask is 5.1 ounces, but you can see that the sample that I received in my September Target Beauty Box is much smaller. This foil packet is about half-way filled with this gel mask, which wasn’t enough to be able to cover my entire face with.

The texture of this gel mask was very watery, which makes sense because the formula for this gel mask is a water-gel formula. People with mature skin, dry skin, and combination skin are recommended to use this instantly hydrating gel mask. I enjoyed the clean, fresh laundry scent that I got from this gel mask, but I wasn’t able to use this mask on my entire face. Personally, I feel that this face mask would be best used for targeted areas, rather than just a general use face mask.

In other words, I feel like this face mask would best be used with someone who has combination skin or someone who has specific areas on their face that are extremely dry. As a face mask to be used all over your face, I feel that there are more cost-effective options out there!

Third sample: TRESemme Keratin Smooth Deep Smoothing Mask Sachet

Sample value: $1.99

Now, I love a good hair mask- one that is going to remove the extreme damage that my hair shows. I use keratin shampoo and conditioner twice a week, but the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Deep Smoothing Mask is the absolute best drugstore keratin hair masks that I’ve ever used.

You literally get so much in a package and as someone with short hair, I usually get two uses out of one hair mask sachet from TRESemme. This hair mask is formulated with both marula oil and keratin, which help to seal your hair strands to be able to fight against frizzy hair. The directions on the back of the mask recommend using this hair mask in replacement of your normal conditioner. I tried doing that a few times, but I personally feel like this hair mask works better for me if I sleep in it.

Before I go to bed, I wet my hair in the shower (to make sure all of my strands are wet). I apply the TRESemme Keratin Smooth Deep Smoothing Mask in my hair and put a sleeping cap on my head. I will sleep in this hair mask and by the time morning comes around, my hair and the hair mask have dried. I will rinse the hair mask out with cold water in the morning and my hair literally transforms!

I’m so glad that I got this in my September Target Beauty box because I already knew that this was a hair masked that I loved and I’m so glad that other people will get the chance to try out the best drugstore hair mask that I’ve ever used!

Fourth sample: Miss Spa Energize Facial Sheet Mask

Sample value: $3.99

As I mentioned earlier, I’m not a huge fan of face masks. There are some face masks in the beauty market that have found their way to winning me over, but for the majority of other masks, I’m not really a big fan. In my personal opinion, sheet masks are the worst of the worst when it comes to masks.

I really don’t like sheet masks because they’re so hard to use; if your face is shaped a bit differently, comfortably wearing face masks becomes an extreme pain.

The biggest step to cutting back on acne breakouts is to not touch your face, but I constantly have to touch my face when using sheet masks because of the way the masks fit my face. The mouth hole and eye holes never properly line up with the shape of my face, so either the mouth opening is sitting right underneath of my nose or the eye holes are sitting down too low.

Miss Spa is a brand that I’ve heard wonderful things about and after I tried out this sheet mask, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! I still had problems with getting the sheet mask to sit on my face properly, but even after struggling with this mask for twenty minutes, I do feel like I see a bit of a difference in my skin!

While I wouldn’t say that this sheet mask absolutely transformed my acne-prone skin into a flawless canvas, I do feel like this mask not only helped to moisturize my skin, but I noticed a big difference in how much less dull looking my skin was after using this sheet mask!

Fifth sample: Masque Bar Rose Gold Peel Off Mask

Sample value: $2.99

I have never before in my life ever tried out a rose gold foil peel off mask, but the September Target Beauty Box gave me a chance to fix that!

I was a bit surprised to see that this wasn’t the most expensive mask in this box, as the packaging makes this peel off mask look really expensive. I really enjoyed how easy it was to apply this mask because the formula was literally perfect- it wasn’t too gloopy and it wasn’t too runny! There was also the perfect amount in the package to cover my entire face, meaning that I didn’t have to worry about throwing away product and potentially making a giant mess in my bathroom trash can.

Now, I want to remind you that I have extremely oily skin that is prone to hormonal cystic acne, large pores, and has a whole bunch of texture on it. I usually tend to lean heavily on higher end masks and skin care to take care of my skin, but I’m still working on finding the best mix for my skin.

If you have ever used the Glam Glow Gravity Mud Firming Treatment, this rose gold peel off mask is extremely similar in the dry-time and the end results. The only problem that I had with the Masque Bar Rose Gold Peel Off Mask is that it didn’t peel off in one simple layer but rather chunked off.

I ended up having to peel small chunks of this face mask off of my face, which is a problem that I’ve never had with the Glam Glow Gravity Mud Firming Treatment. But, this is honestly the only difference that I noticed between Masque Bar Rose Gold Peel Off Mask and the Glam Glow Gravity Mud.

It took about twenty minutes for the Masque Bar Rose Gold Peel Off Mask to dry down on my face, with a tightening effect on my face as the mask began to dry down. After I finished pulling all of the chunks off of my face, I was really surprised at how good my skin looked!

My skin felt really soft, but what really surprised me was how much smaller my pores looked! I read into the ingredients of this mask and saw that witch hazel water, soybean extract, and mushroom extract are used in this mask; all of these ingredients work together to shrink pores, pull excess oil out of your face, and rejuvenate your skin.

I really loved the way this made my skin look and feel, so the Masque Bar Rose Gold Peel Off Mask is now a must-have in my skincare collection!

So, let’s talk about how terribly Target failed this month.

I mean, yeah, sure you could go to Target and buy all of these masks and spend around $15. I’m certain that totaled all together, all of these masks cost around $15 at any Target that you go to.

But that doesn’t mean that these masks are worth $15. I would say that this box holds around a $5-$7 value, but that’s really only for people that like masks. Don’t get me wrong, I did like a few of the masks in this box. I just don’t feel like this is a full $7 (or more) value packed inside of this box.

I would have been absolutely okay if Target had decided that these were going to the be the masks that they were looking to include in the next five boxes that they curated. However, I think it’s really cheap of Target to send out a box that is filled with nothing but face masks. If I wanted to get nothing but face masks, I would have signed up for a face mask box.

That said, I also think that it’s incredibly misleading that Target advertised something different on their website for the September Box and I got something completely different.

I know that the Target beauty box has thousands of ‘subscribers’ and their boxes always sell out really quickly. I’m wondering if there was a miscount in the number of boxes that Target thought that they had for the month of September and ended up just throwing all of these masks in the extra boxes that they sold.

But at the same point, I literally bought the box two hours after Target had it go live on their website. So, while my theory is really just a theory, I’m really concerned about the number of people who also got the same type of box that I got and didn’t get what they thought they were ordering.

What do you think about the September Target Beauty box?

———————————————————————————–

October 2018 Target Beauty Box

The Target Beauty box is one of the most popular subscription beauty boxes available in the world of subscription boxes and for good reason too. The Target Beauty Boxes only cost around $7 a month and are filled up with beauty items that you can purchase inside of Target. In comparison to Ipsy and Birchbox, Target typically has larger sample sizes that you can use several times before you empty it.

The one thing that I’m not super in love with when it comes to the Target Beauty Box is that the Target beauty box isn’t an actual subscription box, in the way that Ipsy and Birchbox are. The way that Target Beauty Box works is that during the first week of the month, Target uploaded a beauty box to their website. You have to manually go through and purchase that box, entering your card information in before you go and check out. With the way other subscription boxes work, all you have to do is give the company your card info once and you’ll get a box every month until you cancel.

When you do go to purchase a box from Target every month, Target has a flat lay of the contents inside that month’s box. If you’re on a strict budget and aren’t interested in signing up for a monthly subscription that you’re going to waste your money on if you don’t like all of the products in the box and/or don’t know what your budget is going to look like on a month-to-month basis, being able to choose which months you get Target boxes is an absolutely wonderful thing! You’ll have the ability to see what is inside of the box that you’re purchasing and make a decision on whether or not you’re going to purchase that box or skip that month. That also means that you don’t have to worry about emailing a subscription box company and asking them to skip a month for you since you’re having unexpected budgeting problems. In my personal opinion, dealing with customer service is always extremely overwhelming, but you don’t have to worry about that with Target since the Target Beauty Box isn’t a subscription service.

But from a different perspective, having to go and individually purchase each box can be annoying, especially if you are someone who is forgetful or just have a really busy schedule. You either have to closely watch Target’s Twitter account or religiously check up on the beauty box section on the Target website to see when they upload it.
No matter which option you choose, you’re still going to have to take time out of your day to check up on the Target website to see if they’re uploaded the Target Beauty Box. Target not really having a monthly subscription service really depends on what your personal preferences are, but just be prepared that you have to go and physically buy each box.

  • What is it: Target Beauty Box
  • How much is it: $7
  • The total value of my October 2018 Target Beauty Box: $14.87
  • What I got in my October Target Beauty box:
  • Tom’s Luminous White Toothpaste with Fluoride- $0.80
  • Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Shampoo- $1.99
  • Love Beauty and Plant Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Conditioner- $1.99
  • Bliss Makeup Melt Dry/Wet Gentle Jelly Cleanser with Rose Flower- $1.56
  • Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion- $3.22
  • Olay Total Effects Whips- $8.53

I really love the camouflage print on the exterior of the October Target box, it’s something that I’ve never seen them do before and it definitely made this box stand out from the rest of my subscription boxes!

Every Target beauty box comes with a little informational card that has a list of all of the products that you have received in your box, as well as tips and tricks on how to use the products in the box, and a $3 of a coupon of beauty purchase of $15 or more.

First product: Tom’s Luminous White Toothpaste with Fluoride

  • Sample value: $0.70

The first thing that I pulled out of my October Target Beauty box was a toothpaste sample from Tom’s. I’ve never tried Tom’s toothpaste before, but I’m always down to try a new type of whitening toothpaste.
Toothpaste samples are always a nice thing to have around, especially if you are always traveling around. I love using the sample sizes of toothpaste because I love trying out different formulas to see what tastes the best and works the best for my teeth.

Second product: Bliss Makeup Melt Dry/Wet Gentle Jelly Cleanser with Rose Flower

  • Sample value: $1.56

This was the second sample that I pulled out of my October Target Beauty box and I was really disappointed when I pulled it out. I literally just received this same product in a Target box a few months ago (maybe two, three months ago) and it wasn’t a product that I was super in love with anyway.
After pulling this jelly cleanser out of my box, I kind of started to expect the contents of my box to start going downhill from there. I know that Target puts out a flat lay of all of the contents inside of every box so that buyers can look to see what’s inside of every box before they purchase, but I never look too closely because I want to be surprised when I get my box.

By getting the Bliss Makeup Melt Jelly Cleanser in my box again, I really felt like Target didn’t put too much thought or creativity into putting together the contents of the October box. There are still a few more items, so maybe there’s hope that the box gets better!

Third product: Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

  • Sample value: $3.22

Cetaphil says that you can use this lotion on both your face and body, but it’s so thick and kind of greasy feeling that I’ll only stick to using this on my body. I do really enjoy using this lotion because it does absorb quickly into my skin, so that’s always a good thing! I think that it was nice of Target to include a moisturizer that you can use on both your face and your body (you totally can, I’m just choosing not to because of my skin type). With October comes colder weather and chilly winds, so I know a lot of people are going to start their struggle with dry skin! I think that the size of the sample that Target sent out for the Cetaphil lotion was generously sized. While it was nowhere near the size of the full-sized product, there was still enough in this bottle to use two or three times on large portions of your body, such as your legs. I love using this lotion on the super dry spots on my skin, such as my ankles and my elbows because it does an amazing job of bringing moisture back to my skin! It doesn’t have a heavy scent, it doesn’t take too long to absorb, and it isn’t excessively greasy feeling.

Another great thing is that Cetaphil is an inexpensive drugstore brand, so if you totally fall in love with this moisturizing lotion, you don’t have to worry about spending an arm and a leg to get the full-sized version of this product.

Fourth product: Olay Total Effects Whips

  • Sample value: $8.53

I think that this is the most expensive sample that I’ve ever gotten in any of my Target beauty boxes. I’ve never received anything from Olay is any of my subscription boxes before, so receiving the Olay Total Effects Whips in my October box was a small breath of fresh air in this very, very stale box.
The Olay Total Effects Whips is another moisturizer in our box, which I would normally really complain about, but this does deliver extra benefits to our skin besides moisturizing properties. The Total Effects Whips also helps to enhance brightness, smooth fine lines, minimize pores, reduce dark spots, and restore firmness in your skin.
So, while I’m not super pumped about getting another form of a moisturizer in my box, I’m going to cut Target a little bit of slack because at least this isn’t just another moisturizer. At least this is from a brand that I’ve never received in any other of my subscription boxes before and at least the Olay Total Effects Whips will deliver additional benefits to my skin.

I used to use Olay a lot growing up (it’s what my mom used and had around the house for me to use) and the scent of this active moisturizer is very similar to all of their other products. The finish for this moisturizer is very lightweight and absorbed quickly, but I haven’t noticed any changes in my skin since I’ve started using it (two weeks).
There hasn’t been any change in the appearance of my pores or any additional brightness or evenness to my skin, but I know that sometimes skin care products need at least 30 days of consistent use to start making a difference in your skin. I’m going to give this some more time to see if it makes any difference in my skin, but I’m thrilled that I got two moisturizers in my October Target Beauty Box.

Fifth Product: Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Shampoo

  • Sample value: $1.99

Sixth product: Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Conditioner

  • Sample value: $1.99

The last two products that I received in box pair together, so I’m going to talk about them together. I receive the Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Shampoo AND Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Conditioner in my box, which I was very happy to see! I personally love the mission that Love Beauty and Planet stand for and I already know that Love Beauty and Planet is a brand that I love. I’ve only ever tried their soaps, lotions, and deodorants, so trying out their hair care products was a new experience for me.

There is actually a really nice amount of both the shampoo and conditioner in these sample sizes, enough to get me through three washes and conditions (so far). Pair the shampoo and the conditioner together and Love Beauty and Planet claim that you’ll see an increase in volume, shine, and bounce in your hair. After using these (they smell SO amazing, by the way), I did notice an increase in shine. I have extremely short hair (the sides of my heads are shaved), so I don’t know whether or not the shampoo added any volume or bounce to my hair. I love that this brand doesn’t test on animals and is kind to the environment, but I sometimes find that brands that share the same mission as LBP don’t have products of very high-quality. This shampoo and conditioner are absolutely amazing, smelled wonderful, made my hair feel soft, and washed out of my hair so easily.

These two products are the only saving point of the October Target Beauty Box; I’m so in love with them and totally plan on purchasing them once I run out of the sample sizes. If these hadn’t been in my Target box, I would’ve been very discontent in the quality of the October box.

But since these are really nice hair care products, I’m not as mad at Target for the poor-quality job they did arranging the October box. These hair care products are the only thing in the box that made me happy and excited to see in my box, everything else I was very disappointed in.

My final thoughts for the October Target Beauty Box

This box honestly wasn’t very impressive for me. I ended up feeling more disappointed in this box, especially with the lack of creativity and the repeat products. While I understand that this may be a difficult time to pick products for, because we’re on the brink of changing the weather, so people in some areas may be still experiencing hot heat waves, whereas other people in other parts of the country are starting to feel chilly, I don’t feel like this box was very inventive or impressive. I also was disappointed when I found out that Target dropped the price of the October beauty box to $5 a few weeks after they originally released it. Maybe Target created too many boxes for October and not enough sold, but I wish there was some sort of explanation on why Target decided to put their October box on sale.

Everything inside of my October box will be put to immediate use, which I love so much more than having to put products aside for when they are needed more in different seasons. I wasn’t happy about receiving products in my October box that I literally just got a couple of months ago in different Target boxes, but getting repeat products is so much better than getting any sort of foil packets.
I just really wish that Target would switch up their formula and send us a box with some originality to it, not another twist on the boxes they’ve done this year. I hope the November box is filled with products that aren’t toothpaste, moisturizers, and shampoos. I wasn’t overall thrilled with the October box, but I’m grateful that I got the chance to try out two new products from a brand that I already love!
